Working with Beth helped me gain a new strength in my passion for my career as an actor, and helped me tune into how my life can look when I’m not acting. Some really deep limiting beliefs started coming to the surface that I didn’t even know I had. In challenging those beliefs, Beth helped me give myself permission to claim the life I knew I was capable of having.
It’s almost difficult to remember back to my life before Beth came into it. I heard of Beth because a friend and colleague whom I respect greatly was raving about her time working with this “health coach.” After speaking with her on the phone, I knew this was something I had to do for myself. My only concern at the time was how I was going to afford it. When I took the leap and committed to it, I honestly never even noticed the money gone. Everything that happened was so huge for me that the money part seemed trivial and meaningless. I knew upon starting that something in my heath was broken, but I had no idea how much in my LIFE would change in the six months that followed. I now have such an awareness of how my body works. I’ve been able to not only identify foods that work best with my body, but also how my body responds to stress, sleep, sunshine, exercise, and even my work. This process helped me get really specific, and as a result, make conscious choices as I now know how my body will respond in advance. I’m kinder to my body now and treat it with more respect. I was able to really hone in on the fact that I am not my body. I, as a person, am separate from this shell that I walk around in. But how well I treat that shell, is how well I can function in life and do the things I care about. Also, kale. Who knew? I love that s**t.
I would 100% recommend Beth. She is open, caring, insightful, and brave. She asked all the right questions and gave me none of the answers, which let me really find and feel for my own truth. The nutrition and wellness part was all there from our first month together, but the real results came through when the bigger, and more important parts of my life started shifting. You can eat all the greens in the world, but if you are living a life that is sucking you dry, it’s never going to work. Beth helped me put all those puzzle pieces together so I could envision the life I wanted and tangibly see that life start to form around me.
I was shocked and reminded of the power of a community and the power of sharing in a group of people, of being vulnerable and open, of being open to it being about something completely different than what I thought. The greatest takeaway was a connection to my feelings. Previous leadership and coaching trainings that have really clicked for me have mostly regarded feelings as a sign of something being out of place but never how to clarify what I want to feel in its place. I feel A LOT and this always got in my way and got me stuck. This gave me something positive and powerful to go towards instead of just away from.
