“Every other nutritionist has either assigned me to a specific meal plan, or said, “no sugar, no carbs, exercise more BAM.” Beth has encouraged to take care of myself in all aspects of my life, which has impacted how I approach food as well.”
Before the program, I felt like I was out of control in my food choices and blaming my body constantly for the way it looks. I shamed myself constantly about the food I ate while simultaneously avoiding food I knew was good for me. I would have trouble staying committed. I tended to go full on for a couple of weeks and then drop off and stop.
After doing the program, I feel like I’m being kind to myself. I definitely understand food more from a nutritional standpoint, which is just the icing on the cake. It’s making it easier to pick out food for myself when I know the ways in which it benefits me. I loved hearing experiences from other people. Knowing I wasn’t alone was amazing, and helped keep me balanced and encouraged throughout my own journey. It surprised me just how much food affects ALL of us, not just those who are overweight. I think I mentally knew that, but didn’t really understand that to be true.
THERE SO MANY REASONS BETH ROCKS. I could probably go on for days. First, Beth approaches coaching from a holistic standpoint; it’s not just about the nutrition, but understanding how food affects lives in different ways. I was also surprised to find that Beth never said that I couldn’t eat a certain food, or that my lifestyle had to completely change overnight. Every other nutritionist has either assigned me to a specific meal plan, or said, “no sugar, no carbs, exercise more BAM.” Beth has encouraged to take care of myself in all aspects of my life, which has impacted how I approach food as well. This is a totally radical way of thinking, for me at least. Love, love, love Beth and am continuing on in private coaching.
I’m proud that I’m learning how to overcome constantly berating myself for how I eat. I’m also incredibly proud that I am beginning to accept that adopting a healthy lifestyle is a process. For someone who likes for things to happen right away, this is huge for me.
