“What are you really hungry for?” This slogan of Beth’s was one of the first things which led me to her unique health coaching, and also a question that became paramount on our three-month journey together. I approached Beth from a point of desperation and utter frustration in my life, where bingeing and deprivation were my defaults, and the shame and self-loathing that accompanied these behaviors were at an all-time high. I needed a radical departure from the destructive patterns I was engaging in, both in the health and nutritional realms of my life, as well as in others.

As much as I desperately wanted a quick fix and shortcut to a leaner body, my work with Beth focused on long-term success and sustainability. Tears of joy came to me when I could see and hear just how far I had come in terms of realizing some of my true life goals and passions: planned a travel adventure of a lifetime, check; launched a new business venture, check; deepened and healed some close relationships in my life, check.
